It might not be that new for you, but I found google API visualization on google spreadsheet to be very interesting and effective way to display data. In addition, while web-browsing today, I came across an ESRI entrant video that uses GIS. Folks, here is the link.

Just a personal note, Toronto IS beautiful!!!
I took this picture. I think this was in June, but amazing shot..eh. I wish I had more time to explore the geo-politics, geography of nights in Toronto. I was too crammed up with my "Spatial Analysis" degree. How could those overnight stay in the lab let me enjoy the beautiful nature? Anyway, I am out of school, at least for now.
